Apt #14, MHA, Monday Evening

Today was an anniversary of sorts. It was the anniversary of when Steven and Llewellyn had first met, back when Llewellyn had moved into flat #15.

At the time, Steven had invited Llewellyn over for a coffee. And thus in honor of the occasion they were getting together for coffee. Also they were going to attempt to make biscotti together, which had nothing to do with their first meeting but had sounded like a fun thing to try.

Thus, after getting back from Lana's class, they had brought over all the necessary components for baking from Llewellyn's flat, naturally also brought over Raphael to join them, put on a pot of coffee, and were ready to get started.

"Not where I pictured us a year ago," Steven said as he helped arrange ingredients on the counter. "Here I thought you were just a nice new neighbor. Which you were, of course."

Steven relaxed. "Exactly. Like with museums. We may not like the exact same parts, but we enjoy going."

"I don't know, I'm finding plenty to like about Egyptian-focused exhibits these days," Watts told him.

"It's fascinating once you start learning about it, isn't it?" Steven said, immediately perking up. "I mean, so much to learn about. Thousands of years. Hard to be bored with all that in front of you."

"And I've own personal guide on the subject," Watts said smugly. "Which not many can boast."

"Exclusive tours, those," Steven said. He nuzzled Llewellyn's hair. "Only one person gets one on one like that."

"Excellent," Watts said. "I'm a poor hand at sharing." At least, with some things.

"Never had a complaint about your hands," Steven said. It was a shame Llewellyn couldn't see how innocent Steven's expression was to go with that statement.

"Steven Grant, what are you implying?"

[hasaknightjob]

"Nothing!" Now his tone matched his innocent look. "You've very nice hands is all. Make good use of them. Kneading and the like."

"I see." He did not for a minute believe that was all there was to it, for the record. It was then that the oven timer went, and Watts sighed. "Speaking of things that require one's hands. Don't you move, I shall return."

He eased himself out of Steven's grasp and off the couch to go into the kitchen and take the biscotti out of the oven, setting it up above the fridge to cool.

"Now," he said, as he settled back down onto the couch against Steven. "Where were we?"

Steven waited patiently for Llewellyn's return, only moving enough to stretch out and pet Raphael where the cat had perched on the opposite end of the couch to watch the fish.

When Llewellyn returned Steven sat back as he was and wrapped his arms around Llewellyn again, just as they were before. "I was talking about how good you are with your hands."

"Kneading," Watts nodded, "I remember. Though you're no slouch there yourself. Working the knots from my back the way you do."

"It's selfish, really," Steven said. He moved his hands up to Llewellyn's shoulders to start rubbing them. "Means I get to have my hands on you."

"Any- mmm, any time you would like," Watts said. "And wherever you would like."

[hasaknightjob]

"Can't do wherever," Steven said, his voice lower. "We're trying not to be distracted before the food arrives."

"Mmm, what if I claimed I was not so interested in food after all?" Watts asked.

[hasaknightjob]

"We can't leave the poor delivery person stood by the door," Steven said.

Granted, this was not insisting on having to eat the food once it got here. They did have a microwave after all.

"I suppose that would be rude," Watts acknowledged. Reluctantly. They did also have biscotti that needed to be sliced and baked again but that wasn't exactly a time-sensitive endeavour.

"It would be rude and a waste of food," Steven said. Not with any kind of reproach. More a gentle reminder for his beau who sometimes needed the reminder of what current day food safety involved. "But there's nothing saying we can't be quick about it when the time comes. Or eat quickly to get to dessert."

Which was technically the biscotti...

"Which I shall savour all the more for having to wait so very long," Watts said with a dramatic sigh.

Steven giggled. He moved his hands up to tilt Llewellyn's head back far enough that Steven could press a kiss to his forehead. "However will we comfort you?"

"That is an excellent start, right there," Watts said approvingly.

[hasaknightjob]

"What, this?" Steven placed another kiss, this one closer to Llewellyn's nose.

"Yes, very good," Watts said, around a delighted laugh.

[hasaknightjob]

"Or this?" Steven had to twist in place a bit to reach but he managed to kiss the tip of Llewellyn's nose.
