Apt #14, MHA, Monday Evening

Today was an anniversary of sorts. It was the anniversary of when Steven and Llewellyn had first met, back when Llewellyn had moved into flat #15.

At the time, Steven had invited Llewellyn over for a coffee. And thus in honor of the occasion they were getting together for coffee. Also they were going to attempt to make biscotti together, which had nothing to do with their first meeting but had sounded like a fun thing to try.

Thus, after getting back from Lana's class, they had brought over all the necessary components for baking from Llewellyn's flat, naturally also brought over Raphael to join them, put on a pot of coffee, and were ready to get started.

"Not where I pictured us a year ago," Steven said as he helped arrange ingredients on the counter. "Here I thought you were just a nice new neighbor. Which you were, of course."

Steven wrapped his arms around Llewellyn's shoulders as he kissed him back. "I much prefer you finding me. Now what shall we do while we wait?"

"Mmm, nothing that will run the risk of us getting too distracted, I fear," Watts said thoughtfully.

"Suppose that's true," Steven said. Though he didn't step away. "Could order dinner?"

"Funnily enough, that very topic was on my mind," Watts admitted. They had just been talking about various food options available on the island after all. "Italian, perhaps? In keeping with a theme? Or is there something else you're in a particular mood for?"

"No complaints about Italian at all," Steven said. He kissed Llewellyn on the cheek. "Though any bread they send won't be as good as yours."

“I believe your opinion on that matter to be rather biased,” Watts said, though he didn’t actually object.

"Not biased if it's true," Steven said. "Theirs isn't made with love, is it?"

Well not love for Steven specifically, one assumed.

“I don’t know,” Watts said. “It’s possible the people responsible for baking the bread love their job very much.”

"Suppose that's true," Steven said. "People in their lives they love as well. But your love is different. That makes it better, far as I'm concerned."

“Mine is rather specifically directed,” Watts said in agreement. Towards Steven mostly, obviously, but there was a good deal of care for Marc in anything Watts made that was likely to be shared between them, like a loaf of bread. And Watts did on occasion share with others as well, usually as a manifestation of concern. But anyway…

Steven gave him another soft kiss. "Yours is special because, like you, it's mine."

“A statement that is both concise and accurate,” Watts said approvingly.

Steven gave him another quick kiss. "We'll never get the food ordered at this rate."

“What was that I said about not getting too distracted?” Watts said drily, pulling out his mobile telephone. “All right; What would you like, darling?” he asked, once he had the menu pulled up.

"You?" Steven said, fully aware he was being cheeky. "Besides that, how about penne alla vodka?"

“Me, you needn’t place an order for,” Watts pointed out, as he added Steven’s selection as well as his own (fettuccine alfredo, for the record).

“It should be here shortly,” Watts informed Steven. Perhaps not before the biscotti finished the first round of baking, but it did need to cool before they sliced it to put it back in the oven, so that was all right.

"I can request a delivery of you on my mobile though," Steven said with a grin. He linked arms with Llewellyn. "Here. May as well sit down while we wait."

“That much is true,” Watts said, obligingly taking Steven’s arm.

Steven led them out to the living room so they could sit on the couch. "Right. Can't get too distracted. We could talk about our trip?"

“Mmm, yes, let’s,” Watts agreed as he let himself be led. “Have you any ideas?” he had a few, of course, but if there was anything Steven had thought of he of course wanted to hear it.

Steven settled in his usual corner of the couch. He motioned for Llewellyn to sit with his back resting against Steven, if he cared to. "Any museums about?"

“Mmm,” Watts nodded. “A few- among them an interactive science museum, an art museum, as well as one that focused on the history of Vancouver itself. But,” he smiled, “I suspect of particular interest would be the anthropological museum located at one of the universities.”

Steven wrapped his arms around Llewellyn. "They all sound fun. But yes, if we've only time for one that last one is particularly tempting."

Watts snuggled back against Steven.

“Well, we might be able to manage two if we’re efficient about it,” he admitted. “But it is only a weekend trip.”

Steven kissed the back of Llewellyn's head. "That won't do. We need something that you like doing. Is there a show, maybe?"
